I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix * @5 O) Y* ?+ n5 O/ @2 [- o% T: V7 A3 }1 N) Y
